THE WOODS COURSE

The Woods Course

The Woods Course was the first of the two courses built at Boca Woods Country Club.

It was designed by golf course architect, Joe Lee, who has designed over 200 world-class championship golf courses including the famous Blue Monster at the Doral Resort in Miami, Florida. The course is characterized by gentle doglegs, elevated, fast sloping greens and the strategic placement of numerous bunkers throughout its 18 broad fairways maintained in excellent condition.

The Woods course places a premium on distance control and accuracy at the approaches, as every green is elevated and closely guarded by bunkers and hazards that run throughout the course. All 18 holes on this championship track are an absolute gem for the avid golfer looking for a challenge.

Renovated December 2024

Reopened in December 2024 following a comprehensive renovation, the Woods Course reflects Boca Woods Country Club’s continued commitment to excellence. The transformation enhanced playability, aesthetics, and long-term course performance while preserving the integrity of its original design.

The project introduced 18 redesigned USGA greens totaling approximately 100,000 square feet, expanded tees and bunkers, improved drainage with nearly 10 miles of infrastructure upgrades, and more than four miles of brick paved cart paths. Course yardage was extended to exceed 7,000 yards, offering greater versatility and challenge for players of all skill levels.

Extensive turf and landscape enhancements, including large scale grassing and strategic tree work, have further refined both conditioning and visual appeal. Now fully matured, the Woods Course delivers a modern championship experience defined by exceptional conditions, thoughtful design, and year-round playability.
